Located in the Collins County of Texas, McKinney is the second most populated city in the county. With a population of 131,117 (US Census 2010), it is the 19th most populous city in the state of Texas. Situated just 37 miles from the city of Dallas, McKinney is also a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In the year 2014, the city was ranked as the Number 1 Best Place to Live in America by Money Magazine.
